Croydan

all ready to go
We arrived at the station and headed onto the train all the Grey Nomads had taken the front carriage as they are up and ready by 5:30 and on board by 6am – but we settled for some good seats and enjoyed the 5 hour trip to Croydon, stopping for morning tea.  (hot chocolates in our new mugs) Meanwhile, Mandy enjoyed a quiet 1.5 hour trip in the car, and then set up the camper solo, while being watched by curious (and impressed) nomads.  On arriving in Croydan, Mandy met us at the station, and we walked along the heritage buildings (the court house and goal were particularly exciting).  Finally reaching the park the kids were hot enough to enjoy a dip in the nice cool pool.

  1. One and a half hours by car and 5 hours by train? Good thing you're not traveling around Australia by train.
