We took a little detour past the large playground at Donnybrook. We had free-camped out in the dirt/ sticks - and on getting out of the car, Nicks face dropped... "But i liked the green grass at our last camp" as he realised he couldn't just run and play". Nicks first question is no longer about pit v's flush toilets, or how many nights we plan to stay, it's now about whether or not there is any green grass or trees to climb. I'ts interesting to follow the progression of priorities as we continue through the year. Sam, Nick and Larina are doing exceptionally well at travelling in the car still, thus the reward of the playground. It was magic to see their faces all light up.
Looks like the kids have overcome their fear of snakes. Let them play in the dirt Mandy,it washes off.
