Streaky Bay

Ok – for anyone who has read “Are we there yet” by Alison Lester, you will appreciate the following.  We found the great white shark today – and took photos of the kids putting their heads in its mouth.  We then drove to the sea lion colony and watched them playing around in the water, followed by camping at Murphy’s Haystacks – to take photos of our shadows in the shape of “YMCA” on one of the boulders.  We had so much fun doing it together, and even roped in a couple from Holland to take our photo while we all balanced on the rock to write HELLO.  I was particularly proud of my effort in being the E.  They might have thought we were crazy was it not for Nick grabbing our copy of the book and giving them a detailed explanation of what we were doing – including where we had been, where we were headed, and warnings about all the dangerous snakes (which he now calls “Joe Blakes”- much to my confusion).
