Coral Bay was not on the original plan, but after we noticed
how much distance we had expected ourselves to cover getting from Carnarvon to
Cape Range, we decided to break the trip up, and we were not disappointed for
doing so.
Straight off from the very busy caravan park was a swimming
beach and reef. It was here that
memories were made for the Homard family.
Our first family snorkel – complete with Larina, who wore her pool
goggles, flippers and bubble. She had a
wonderful time, telling us that she saw a whale, a fish in a dress and rainbow
fish, along with a great white shark. After
finally getting out of the water, she continually asked when she could go for
her next “dive”. Yay. Things will be drastically different for us
all at the beach now. Sorry – no photos
of the moment, as we were all in the water together, and thus not a dry hand to
manage the camera!
Hot chocolates with Andrew and Bec Brown tonight – who we
were introduced to by the Bucknell family.
The kids were all so excited when we pulled into the caravan park to
discover that our itineraries had matched up!
As we move to the next destination, we now hear “will the Brown’s be
there?”
The kids slept well that night. We, on the other hand struggled being so
close to other campers and under street lights.
(and through the night a family behind us had some trouble with their
child’s asthma. Fortunately we had some
ventalin to assist -)
