Sale

Well we survived our first heat wave in the car and camper.  We really pushed “captain” (car name) today, with 39 degree heat, and drove from 9:30 to 3:30pm, arriving in a nice caravan park on the Princes highway.  (ok, so the traffic noise and cockatoos at 4am were not so nice!)

Washing done, groceries and chilling out at the shopping centre – (air conditioning) and then dinner and yes – SHOWER! The kids got their first taste of showering with thongs tonight.

We made a few stops along the way – a chance for the kids to run around.  I am reminded about how little they sit – even in the heat… red faces, sweat running down their faces, and still they are off chasing butterflies at every available opportunity.  We had to bribe them to sit and rest at one stage – all that running around was making us exhausted!
(oh, and we managed to lose Nicholas at Target while killing time in the air conditioned shops... a case of a young boy deciding to have a break from constantly being around his family, rather than totally neglectful parenting...)

  1. Shouldn't captain be the name for the driver rather than the vehicle, or does Ben have to earn the title first? The incident at Target- was that a case of it being easier to travel with two kids instead of three, or was it unintentional? Love Dad.
