We made it! Our journey has begun, and it only took 90
minutes down the freeway until we heard the first “are we there yet?” It feels surreal - lots still to iron out as we go during the next few weeks.
A pretty long drive, with lots of stops along the way, and slow going up and down hills through beautiful kangaroo valley.
We stayed the first night at Lake Tabourie Caravan park. It was a stop not just to sleep, but also to reflect on Pa and Nana's time there... this is definitely a spot we would like to come back to explore (and fish) some more.
The kids also enjoyed some put put golf on the way out too…. despite the rain.
Nana and Pop went back there to explore and fish every year for about 16 years. It was far more primitive then but a great place for the family to camp.Love, Dad.
